Spine and corners bumped. A couple of grubby marks to covers. A little foxing to textblock. Book is slightly skewed. Remains of dustwrapper - most of front panel and front flap.

  • Four children in an old half-ruined house set on a wild cliff by the sea, a strange island, called the Isle of Gloom, in the distance - and a ship to sail out to the island to see what is going on there. Secret passages, old forgotten copper-mines on the island, men hidden there doing strange things. a path under the sea-bed itself - there are no end to the adventures that the four children have, Then there is Kiki, the parrot, whose ridiculous chatter delights the children and who shares in their amazing adventures.
