Cream pictorial cloth. B/w illustrations. The third in the adventure series. Spine and corners bumped. Inscription in ink to front free-endpapers. Foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge chipped and torn with minimal loss. No. 9 written in biro to front panel, foxing on verso of wrapper.

Small brown mark to front pastedown (removal of a small label?). A couple of page corner creases and margin tears. Page 125 it torn and creased to top corner and there is a tiny chip with loss to page 127. A nice copy and no-way near as bad as it sounds!
