Almost very good condition. A & C Black Colour Book 20 Shilling Series. Blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles to spine and and front cover. Top edge gilt. 60 tissue-guarded colour plates. Folding map. 4 page booklist to rear. The rarest of the Black's 20 Shilling Series.

Assumed early edition/reprint in same year as 1st edition - as has 4 page booklist to rear. Spine is browned with a few chips and splits to top; some fraying to cloth. Front board bright and clean. Corners are bumped. Personal gift inscription in pencil to front endpaper. Joints are starting to crack a little. Some foxing present. Plate margins browned. All plates present.
