Slightly better than good condition. Red cloth covers with gilt title and triangular vignette to front cover, black titles and snowflakes to spine. Illustrated endpapers. Black, red and white illustrations. 209 pages.
Darkened spine very worn to top and bottom edges and sides, rear edge starting to split, slight loss to top edge, small splits to bottom edge, a little fraying to all edges. Corners bumped and worn and a few small bumps to cover edges. Covers grubby with marks. Page 109/110 is MISSING. Two patches of surface paper damage towards bottom of front joint. Evidence of label removed from top edge of front endpaper. Dated ink inscription to prelims. Small tears to pages 138-142 alongside spine. A few fingermarks to contents but most pages are clean. Small bookseller's label to rear pastedown.
