Ex-libris plate to front free-endpaper (no name entered). Small patch of surface paper damage to front pastedown. Small patch of old tape stuck to rear pastedown and remains of a small booksellers label to same page. Page edge browning and a light musty smell to contents.
Large format. Blue cloth spine with black title. Pictorial front cover. Retold by the editor (Vredenburg) & others. 12 colour plates. B/w illustrations. Heavy wear to cover edges; chipping and bumping. Scuffing and uneven fading to covers. Old date in ink to front endpaper. Old name in pencil, mostly erased to front pastedown. Neat colouring to a couple of advert pages to rear. Foxing to outer page edges. A few margin marks.

Name plate to front pastedown has been removed. Some tears to page margins with a couple of small pieces of loss (text not affected). Foxing to textblock.
A reproduction of the 1909 edition. Blue cloth, gilt titles and decorations. Colour plates. Top edge blue. A beautiful book. 2nd printing. Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Contents fine. Slipcase has a few light marks and one of the corners of the spine is slightly bumped.

Large format, pictorial boards and spine. 4 pretty colour plates plus b/w text illustrations throughout. Well-known favourites by Grimm and Andersen. Small chip to top of spine. Bumping to spine and corners. Foxing throughout! Wrapper is creased with tears and chips; a little loss; foxed and browned.
