Good condition.
83 b/w wood engravings. Bates paints a rare picture of rural England, along the Ouse and Nene rivers. Large format. Navy blue cloth with gilt title to spine. Spine and corners bumped, wear to top of spine. Ink scribbles and remains of a Boots Library sticker to front cover. Rear cover is slightly faded at edges. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, textblock and page margins. Remains of a couple of labels to rear endpapers.

Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
'The English Woodland - April to April'. Burnt orange cloth, gilt title to spine. 73 engravings on wood. 141 pages. 10.5 x 8". Spine and corners slightly bumped. Cover edges a little dusty. A few foxspots to textblock. Small booksellers sticker to rear pastedown (slight transfer of colour onto facing endpaper. Dustwrapper is well browned and grubby with some small splash marks. Chipped to top of spine with slight loss.
