Almost very good condition. Cheaper Edition. Thoreau's two year stay at Walden Pond, Massachusetts, living a simple life surrounded by nature. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Sixteen tipped in woodcuts with tissue-guards. 289 pages. Top edge gilt. Other edges untrimmed.
Spine faded and has pale foxing, worn at top of spine with slight loss of cloth, small split in cloth to front edge of spine. Text block browned. Gilt top edge is dull and scratched. Some scattered minor foxing. All plates present. A decent copy.
