Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A 'New Naturalist' monograph no. 19. Green cloth. 32 b/w photographs 36 text figures. A fascinating and scholary study of the familiar housesparrow. The housesparrow is the only branch of the important weaver family to have colonised the northern temperate zone. The author reviews the housesparrow's complex behaviour pattersn and movement and has scientifically explored the many aspects of sparrow history. Although a scientific study, this book is, nevertheless, beautifully written.
Spine is bumped. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Couple of pages internally have edge-creasing. Wrapper is creased with wrinkling and browned with foxing; some chips of loss; some repaired with tape to verso.
