Everyone agreed that Jennings' plan to raise money for a worthy cause was highly commendable. They agreed too that Jennings' plans always worked well on paper but in practice they often ran into such disaster that he was obliged to think of new ones to stave off disaster! Pale grey boards with red title to spine. 4 b/w illustrations. 192 pages, top edge red. Spine and corners bumped. Prelims have been removed along with title page and colophon page, so no edition details. Textblock foxed. Contents grubby. Dustwrapper is worn at edges with browned tape repairs on verso and a light stain to base of spine. Price sticker on front flap shows 50p or 10/- (so assuming date of this edition is circa 1970).
