Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Generally regarded as the definitive edition of this much-loved classic with Shepherd's illustrations bringing Mole, Ratty and Toad to exuberant life. B/w illustrations throughout. Endpapers show map of the Riverbank. Green cloth, gilt titles, vignette to front cover. 312pp, top edge green.
Light bumping to top and tail of spine and a couple of corners. A few marks to covers. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is browned, with foxing; edge-tears and chips; a little loss. Small amount of pen mark to front panel of wrapper.
