Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Green boards, black title to spine. B/w illustrations. 3rd in the Nettleford series. Pictorial endpapers showing maps.

Spine and corners bumped. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn with minimal loss to spine and corners and a few light marks to rear panel.

  • The third in the Nettleford series. Sally and Paul Richardson, whose father keeps the bookshop, Elizabeth Langton from the vicarage and the red-headed and adventurous Jimmy (son of Mr. Brand the ironmonger) form themselves into a society called "The Owlers".
  • There are no far fetched adventures but there are plenty of thrills, including the finding of a "secret kingdom" with a lake and an island, a battle and the rout of egg stealers,a camp in a horse-caravan and a tremendously exciting point-to-point.
