Slightly better than good condition. Edited by Mrs. Gatty. Maroon three quarter leather binding with marbled boards and text block. Raised bands to spine with gilt titles, lines and decoration. Blue endpapers. B/w Illustrations. 759 pages.
Spine bumped and worn with splits to front edge at top and bottom. Edge of rear cover and spine very faded. Some loss of surface on other leather areas. Bumping and wear to spine and cover edges. Some scuffing to marbling. Both joints cracked but still holding firm. Name in ink to front endpaper. Marks on pastedowns corresponding to leather. Odd mark and fingermark to contents but generally clean.
