A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Light foxing to covers, rear cover slightly grubby. Title page and contents page detached from bottom threads. Foxing and odd grubby mark to contents.

A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Small flap with crease to onlay at top of spine. Colours bright on covers. Ink inscription to front endpaper. A little foxing to contents. All plates present. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and chipped, loss from top of spine and rear panel. Spine and panels slightly faded and foxed. Stain to spine in title.

Pictorial endpapers by Maybank. First story is So-Sleepy Buts a Jar of Jam. 264 pages. 10" x 7.25". Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Scratches to covers and a couple of small pieces of surface loss. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Just a few small marks to contents. All plates present but one has pencil writing to verso and one has a 2" edge tear.

Cloudy film to bottom of two pages, text still readable. A few marks to contents. 2 plates MISSING.

First story is 'The Shipwrecked Mariner'. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers grubby, pencil scribble to front cover. Ink name stamp and a couple of letters and lines to front endpaper, drawing to verso. Front joint and a few hinges cracked. A few margin tears, some marks and colouring to contents, also foxing. One plate is MISSING, two are present but detached, one of these has a margin tear. A decent reading copy.

This is the first Rupert annual to be dated on the inside title page. Colour illustrated boards showing Rupert leap-frogging over Bill Badger. First story 'Rupert and the Water-Lily'. 107 pages. Splits (about an inch and a half) to top of spine. Smaller splits to bottom. Spine and corners bumped. Corners worn. Mark to top of rear panel. Top and bottom of front joint broken. Name in belongs to box, crossed out and another name written in. Inscription in ink below belongs to box plus more writing in red felt tip pen. Colouring contest has been messily completed and name and address entered. Cut to top of page 21/22. Pen and crayon marks to some pages. Some corners creased. Name and address written on postcard on stamps puzzle page and stamps are MISSING. A few small margin tears. A reading copy.
