Slightly better than good condition. Brown pictorial cloth covers with gilt titles. Pictorial spine. Embossed picture of bird on rear cover. Green decorative endpapers. 566 pages plus 2 page booklist. Colour and b/w illustrations. Collected and edited by Mrs. Valentine.
Bumping and wear to spine, corners and edges. Gilt rubbed in places. Covers a little grubby. Front joint starting to crack. Rear endpaper is stuck to rear pastedown. Ink name to front pastedown. Inscription to verso of frontis. One colour plate is partially detatched, one is torn. Some pencil lines, grubby fingermarks and brown marks to contents.
