Forming a complete dispensatory, and natural system of physic, to which is also added upwards of fifty choice receipts, selected from the author's last legacy to his wife. Embellished with engravings of upwards of four hundred different plants, with other subjects to illustrate the work.' Large format. Full leather binding with raised bands to spine and gilt title on burgundy title label. 40 hand-coloured plates. vi and 398 pages plus index.
Boards and joints well worn. Binding is still tight. Pencil annotation filling the front pastedown as well as some marks (wax?). All plates are present. Plate 26 is detached and worn at edges. Contents are very grubby. Index pages partially detached.
