The Winchester Psalter is justly famous for its prefatory miniature cycle, expanding across thirty-eight leaves as it sweeps through biblical history. A facsimile of folios 1-39 of Cotton MS Nero C. IV at the British Library, London. Large format, contains commentary volume and housed in publisher's solander case. Full red leather boards with gilt & green design, colour illustrations throughout. Commentary volume is bound in green cloth with gilt tiles. Limited Edition of 980. This is copy 55 of 980. A fine set contained in publisher's solander case in almost fine condition. Also contained in original packaging from Folio Society.

Printed on specially made paper with hand-made end papers and gilding on three edges. 624 pages, 11.75 inches x 9 inches. Includes a separate booklet with an essay by Professor Anthony S G Edwards. This is copy 212 of 1000. A beautiful set contained in publisher's solander case which has a couple of minor bumps to edges.

Containing the Original, Antiquity, Increase, Present State and Government of those Cities, written at first in the year 1698 by John Stow. Corrected, Improved and very much Enlarged in the year 1720 by John Strype. Illustrated with exact maps of the city and suburbs and all of the Wards; and, likewise, of the Out-Parishes of London and Westminster, and the Country ten miles round London. Together with many fair Draughts of the most Emiment Buildings. Sixth Edition. Heavy wear and some loss of colour to leather spine and corners; chipping. A couple of splits to spines. Scuffing to covers. Small white labels to bottom left hand corners of front covers. Foxing and browning; some pages have chipping/bookworm holes. Musty odour to both volumes (From age). A few pages are detached, or almost detached, but loosely inserted. Over 90% of the plates have been removed and page 21/22 of Volume 2 is missing as well (probably accidentally removed when a plate was removed).
