Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. The story of a small unit of the 1st Parachute Brigade during two yeasr of acton in Tunisia, Sicily, Italy and finally Arnhem. Written by a young troop leader of the Brigade who served in the most important actions and was finally wounded in some of the toughest fighting of World War II. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w frontis and maps.
Light rubbing to board edges. Foxing to top edge of text block. A few minor foxspots else contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn and torn with slight loss, rear panel is browned and grubby.
