The 53rd Welsh Division at the outbreak of the Second World War went from Wales to garrison Ulster. After four years of training they landed in Normandy as part of 'Overlord' - one of Monty's six 'green' divisions; but the ONLY Welsh division. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos, illustrations & maps. ISBN: 1871085357. Light grubby mark to vertical edge of text block else a nice, clean copy. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly scuffed and top of spine laminate is lightly folded.
