Slightly better than very good condition. The pottery discovered during the contruction of playing fields at a Rushden school which proved to be manufactured at the site in the early Roman period. This pottery associated with the Roman military conquest of the area, displays an exceptional range of forms and decoration, and represents the achievements of potters whose inspiration derived from various European ceramic traditions.
