Brown cloth spine with black title and vignette and 4 gilt lines, cream paper boards. Full page colour and b/w text illustrations throughout. Fold-out map to rear. 550 pages. ISBN: 072265197X. Spine lightly faded, top of spine lightly creased. Light rubbing to board edges. A few minor corner creases else contents clean. Contained in publisher's pictorial slipcase which is sunned to spine and ends. Dustwrapper is MISSING.

Almost very good condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper.
Tales from Watership Down is in three parts: the first consists of five traditional tales of El-ahrairah and two more modern rabbit stories, the second contains four episodes recounting events that befell El-ahrairah and Rabscuttle on their return from visiting the Black Rabbit of Inlé, and the third contains eight chapters dealing with the Watership warren in the months following the events of the original book. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. Green endpapers. 195 pages. ISBN: 0091801664. Hinge split between page 184 and 185 otherwise binding is tight and contents are clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-creased.

Richard Adams
Richard George Adams (9 May 1920 – 24 December 2016) was an English novelist and writer of the books Watership Down, Shardik and The Plague Dogs. He studied modern history at university before serving in the British Army during World War II. Afterwards, he completed his studies, and then joined the British Civil Service. In 1974, two years after Watership Down was published, Adams became a full-time author.
