Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Green boards. Silver title to spine. B/w illustrations. Oxford Children's Library Series.

A little bumping to spine and corners. Underlined name in pen and brown spot to front endpaper. Contents clean. Foxing to top edge of text block. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn with a few tiny tears and some creasing.

  • The Rector of Broomhill in Devon had one small daughter, Perdita: and Perdita's dearest wish was to see the great Queen Elizabeth I one day. Against the background of quiet village and changing seasons, country fair and Christmas celebrations, this is a picture of country and family life throughout the sunny year which ended with the coming of Gloriana to Devon and the realisation of Perdita's dreams.
