Almost very good condition. Large format. Red cloth with super gilt titles and vignettes of animals to front cover and spine. Green pictorial endpapers. 28 colour plates plus numerous b/w text illustrations. 293 pages.
Book has been rebacked, with original spine laid down - original parts of spine are faded and browned; a little of new spine showing through. Original endpapers have been used - but show new cloth at joints. Some foxing and a few margin marks. Inscriptions in ink to half-title page.
