Contents
- Biggles and his favourite wartime pilots setup a secret airbase in the middle of the desert in order to flush out and destroy a similar base setup by the Germans to prey on cross-continent air traffic.
- The team track the bad guys to an oasis nearby and uncover their use of a compass-disrupting beam to lure aircraft nearer their fighters. Biggles and team pull a few surprises to even the odds, even to the extent of raiding the enemy camp to rescue some prisoners and steal an armoured car. The final German raid on their base, complete with paratroopers, is thwarted just in time and the Germans pack up and head home in defeat.
