Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. The drought had lasted for many weeks and there was practically no water left in the wells of the village of Bourne Bridge. Hiram, Sykes, Michael and Ernest went down the canal each day to the town for water. One day Hiram found an ancient book which told how a wheel with a bell on it was rolled down the hill to find water. So he sets out to find water.... Cream boards, brown title to spine. B/w illustrations to text. 175 pages.
Slight bumping to spine. Endpapers are light and partly browned. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Dustwrapper is just a tiny bit creased at top of spine and a little faded at base.
