Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears repaired with tape. Musty odour present.
Bibliotheque Rose series. Glazed pictorial boards. 120 pages. Colour and b/w illustrations. Last page is part detached. Some hinges slightly pulled. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed.

Large format. Blue cloth spine, orange boards with picture of Babar to front. Colour illustrations. Text in French. Uneven fading to covers with scuffing and score marks; some loss to top paper cover. It appears that the book has been repaired and strengthened with a new spine, but original laid down and retaining original endpapers and covers. Some uneven fading to cloth spine and fraying to top and tail (of old cloth). The repair has made the binding nice and tight and secure. Page edges of quite a number of pages throughout have a 'nibbled' look. Front endpaper has some scuffing and holes, with a bit of loss. Foxing and marks to varying degrees throughout the book.
