The story of a boy and a trumpeter swan who had no voice. Blue cloth. B/w illustrations. Boards mottled by damp (not too heavy). Faint inscription in pencil to blue front endpaper. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper has surface paper loss to lower front panel (probably caused by the removal of a label) and is edge-worn with a few small chips and closed tears.

Light brown boards, title to front and spine. Pictorial onlay to front board. Blue illustrated endpapers. Colour plates and b/w illustrations throughout. 48 pages. Small format, 5.5 x 4.25". Spine and corners bumped. A few foxspots to contents. Last small b/w illustration has been very neatly coloured in. Dustwrapper (price 2/6) is edge worn with small tears, tiny hole to front edge of spine and slightly grubby to rear panel and spine.
