A VERY HEAVY TOME, WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE. Large format. Leather spine; raised bands to spine. B/w illustrations. Includes a fascinating History of the Bicycle. Covers are very heavily worn, with much loss of cover/top surface of leather spine. Chipping along edges of covers and scuffing/grubby marks. Foxing to outer page edges. Contents are still very good - a few pale margin marks. Joints are a bit cracked.

Tipped-in colour plates and b/w plates and diagrams to text. 223 pages plus index. Spine is browned and foxed with light wear to top & tail. Front cover faded. Text block is browned and a red mark to lower edge. Contemporary gift inscription in ink to front pastedown. Scattered foxing throughout. Still a nice copy.
