Large format. Red cloth spine. Pictorial boards, showing 3 horses pulling a plough with farmer behind. First story is 'At Fallow Farm'. Wear along cover edges; browning to top and tail of spine. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Browning to page edges; a few margin marks. Slight musty odour to book. Wrapper is edge-creased with tears and chips; loss to top of spine and a couple of corners.
The lovable piccaninny once more runs into trouble. Small format. Orange pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Covers bright and clean. Foxing to contents and textblock. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn with foxing on verso.
Lettuces are the cause of the lovable little piccaninny's downfall this time. Brown pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Covers are slightly edge worn. The glue has dried under the front pastedown causing it to become part-detached. Some foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn, faded to spine and has a small spot to front panel.
The brain-scattered piccaninny makes another appearance buying eggs for his Mammy, with results that can easily be foreseen. Green boards with white titles, colour picture to front. Pictorial endpapers. Simple colour illustrations. 62 pages. 5.5 x 4.5". Spine and corners slightly bumped, cover edges lightly rubbed. Book leans to one side a little. Foxing to contents and page browning to endpapers. Dustwrapper is foxed and is edge worn with tear to base of spine.
Another of the lovable piccaninny's well-meant but unfortunate attempts to help his Mammy. Purple boards with colour picture to front. Delightful pictures of the little black boy and his Mammy. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Foxing to endpapers and page edges. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with loss to lower corners on rear panel.
Epaminondas the lovable piccaninny "helps" in the house, and again brings disaster upon himself. Purple boards with white titles and colour onlay to front cover. Colour illustrations. Small format 6.25 x 4.75". 62 pages. Slight wear to cover edges. Endpapers lightly browned, foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and just a little grubby.
