Grey/brown cloth with gilt title to spine; red titles with red/green decorations to front cover. Gilt and green decorations to spine. Top edge gilt. 24 colour plates. A & C Black 5 Shillings Series. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some red crayon annotations (e.g. page 115 and rear pastedown). Some pages have a bit ragged edges.

A & C Black Colour Book 20 Shilling Series. Reprint! (1st edition has gilt title to front cover). Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Damp staining to edge of inside front cover, which goes over to frontis. Slight crease to rear cover, which is also marked. Other marks to covers. Light foxing/browning to endpapers and some pages throughout. Page margin browning to plates. All plates present.
