Large format. Pale blue cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows boy reading book, girl with black cat under her arm and other characters in the background.Colour plates and b/w text illustrations. 176 pages. First story is "How We Let Lodgings" by Mrs. G. Wemyss. Angela Brazil story is "A Terrible Handful". Spine bumped and worn with nicks to cloth at ends. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby with a few marks and scratches, small amount of surface paper damage to front cover. A couple of hinges cracked. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. Pale stain to edge of title page and small stain to lower margin of frontis. Contents generally clean. All plates present.
