A story of country life in England and Western Canada from 1880 to 1960; turns a keen searchlight on the doings of farmers during two world wars: and pays just tribute to the generosity of the British climate. Faint stain to lower board edges. Foxing to text block and endpapers. Pictorial dustwrapper is browned to spine, worn at corners with slight loss, grubby to rear panel.
