Dark green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Ten hand-coloured plates. vi and 121 pages. Boards a little marked, rear board has a small nibble to lower edge exposing board, rear edge of spine has slight loss of cloth. Stop & tail of spine shelf-worn. Corners lightly bumped. Joints starting to crack. Name & date in ink to front endpaper. Plate I is detached. All plates are present. Foxing throughout and a few grubby marks. A few annotations.

Nearly fine condition in a nearly fine dustwrapper.
Black boards, gilt title to spine. Colour frontis. Originally these stories were serialised in Modern Boy between 15th of July and 7th October 1933. The first 13 stories in this edition follows that of the John Hamilton editions, with some spelling corrections. As a bonus story, the R.F.C. adventure 'The Ace of Spades' is also included in this collection. The Colour frontis and 4 half-tone illustrations from the John Hamilton editions have also been included. B/w illustrations originally printed in Modern Boy have also been included where possible. Limited to 300 overall copies, this edition is further Limited to 50 copies and includes a hand drawn and coloured illustration to front endpaper by Skilleter. SIGNED by Illustrator (Skilleter) and Publisher (Wright) to title page. This is Copy No. 16. Hand drawn and coloured illustration to front endpaper is protected by loose tissue-guard; illustration is lovely and bright! Colour frontis is browned. Wrapper also has some light browning. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Large format. Blue cloth with white, black and yellow title. This is the Deluxe edition and includes a hand-produced facsimile of an Audubon watercolour (The Tufted Titmouse). Stunning colour illustrations throughout! In colour pictorial slip case. Features the one-and-only set of watercolours that Audubon created as a prototype for the large engraved edition of 'The Birds of America'. All 474 watercolours of the New-York Historical Society are reproduced. ISBN: 9780847839438. Wrapper has some very light edge-creasing. Facsimile reproduction painting is contained in an envelope to front endpaper, which has come unstuck from endpaper. Still excellent. This copy would make a wonderful gift. Slip case is in fine condition. Also contained in original colour cardboard box, which has a couple of dents and some wear.

One of the better imitations of the hugely popular 'Life in London' by Pierce Egan, portraying with accuracy 17th century London society, scenes and buildings. Leather spine & corners, title label with gilt title to spine, marbled paper boards. First Edition, later printing e.g. contains 'A word to the wise' in vol II. Covers heavily scuffed and worn at edges. Slight loss to title blocks. Leather missing from one front corner. Joints cracked. Title pages have been swapped by the binder i.e. volume one contains title page for volume two and vice versa. All plates present. Text block browned. Contents browned and foxed. Plates nice and bright with browning and foxing mainly to margins.
