Printed by D. Walker. Contents are original; binding is more modern, with new endpapers. Some fading to leather on spine. Foxing and a bit of page browning. Damp corner marks to a couple of pages.

With explanatory leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of The Tale of Two Bad Mice. Contained in a blue hinged box with silver title and square onlay to front. Also includes a blue leather foil-blocked bookmark and 6 individual prints. ISBN: 0723249887. This is copy no. 59. Contained in original brown packaging box (with limitation details label to front) and 'leather' written in blue biro to front. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Facsimile edition with introductory booklet in custom made clamshell box. 91 watercolour facsimiles from the Maria Sibylla Merian Collection in the British Museum. Maria Sibylla Merian was one of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries' great painters of plants and animals. Limited edition of 1000. A sturdy inner panel holds the commentary volume underneath. This is bound in green cloth and printed on high-quality white laid paper. Julie Harvey of the Entomology Library at the Natural History Museum has written a fascinating introduction to Merian's work, setting it in context and providing an overview of her life and times. Due to the size of this book, if posted, it will need to be sent via courier. Small scuff mark to top of rear board (minor). Else a beautiful copy. Copy No. 16 of 1000. Clam shell case is in fine condition. Contained in original packaging from the Folio Society - polystyrene (reinforced and repaired with brown tape) and cardboard box. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
