Stories and pictures for little folk. Cloth spine, yellow pictorial front board showing golly and other toy friends in a plane. 207 pages. Colour plates plus b/w and two-tone text illustrations. First story is "Christmas Snowflakes" by Cowham. Covers are edge worn and spine is bumped. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers are page edges and some very light fingering to page margins. Some hinges are pulled causing contents to be a little loose bit still firmly attached. Generally a nice copy.

Name and address label to front pastedown. Small inscription to rear endpaper. Some foxing and browning; grubby margin marks.

Page browning to contents. Some light fingermarks to page margins.

Spine and corners bumped and worn. Some scratching to covers. Lower front corner has tape repairs. Small address label to front pastedown and inscription in ink to endpaper. Front joint cracked. Name in ink to top margin of title-page. Contents are generally clean.

Front pictorial board shows boy and girl in wintry scene with puppy, mistletoe and basket of goodies. 6 colour plates (including one of cats by Wain - A Beauty of Japan). B/w and two-tone illustrations throughout. First story is December's Guest. 21st issue of Father Tuck's annual. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Rear cover is scuffed and slightly grubby with a few scratch marks. Page browning and some foxing otherwise contents clean.

Inscription to front pastedown. One hinge cracked, first gathering pulled. A little light browning and a few marks to contents. Odd small margin tear.

Colour frontis, two tone and b/w illustrations. First story: The Welsh Fire Dragon. Spine bumped, small holes along rear edge, also slightly darkened. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers a bit grubby with light scratches and small spots of surface paper damage. Name and date to front endpaper. Pencil writing to frontis, pencil underlining of text on one page and erased pencil words on a few pages and rear endpapers. Some fingering and a few marks to contents.

First story: The Magic Matchbox. Spine bumped, wear to picture on spine. Corners bumped and worn, heavy bump to lower front corner. Bump to top edge of rear cover. Covers slightly grubby and worn. Ink inscription to front endpaper and name to top edge. Tear alongside spine to top edge of page 87. Endpapers browned, foxing to text block. Light browning to about 6 pages, possibly something has been pressed between them, contents generally clean otherwise.

Creases to top corners of covers, front is worst. Slight wear to cover edges. Rear cover slightly grubby. Ink inscription to front pastedown dated 1926. Staples rusty. Centre pages are detached at bottom staple. A few corner tips creased and some foxing but otherwise contents clean.

Plain endpapers. B/w and two tone illustrations throughout. Wain illustrations are on page 36 and 37 'Pussy's Birthday Party', 128 'Catching the Train and 129 'An Exciting Gallop'. 144 pages. Six colour plates. Spine bumped and rubbed. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges scuffed. Covers grubby with some scratches to rear board. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Both joints beginning to crack. Some hinges pulled. Pages browned. One plate detached, the bottom edge of which is grubby. One other plate is partially detached. Margins and verso of plates are marked.
