Corners are bumped and a little worn. Inscription in ink to edition page. A few grubby margin marks. Binding is starting to weaken at spine. Pictorial wrapper has 3/4 of rear flap torn out and missing; Just under an inch loss to base of spine and other chips with loss to edges. A few edge-tears. Still a nice copy of one of the rarer Ladybird books, in its original wrapper!

Date in ink to front endpaper and a few to title page. One hinge internally reinforced with white cloth tape. A couple of small margin tear repairs. A few margin marks, else contents are still lovely and bright.

Rear joint a little fragile from the outside - leather split, else binding of contents is nice tight. A good candidate for rebinding.
