Bookplate of the Lloyd family of Leaton Knolls of Shropshire is on front pastedown. Front of spine cracked causing front board to be slightly loose. Contents are very good.

Almost very good condition.
Square format. Cream boards with illustration to front. 83 pages. Brown and black illustrations with verses below. Spine and corners worn with minimal loss to top and tail of spine and slight chipping of surface paper to rear edge of spine. A few tiny dents to cover edges. Light vertical creases to front cover. Covers are a bit grubby. Neat inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers very lightly browned. A few light foxspots to contents and a few pages have a very light vertical crease to centre. Overall a nice copy of a very scarce Rupert Bear book.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Very large format (12.5 x 10"). Beige cloth with brown and red title and colour illustration to front. With twelve tissue-guarded colour plates by Rountree and eighty-four pen and ink text illustrations by Bull. A wonderful edition of this classic story. Spine and corners bumped. A dozen or so pinholes to rear cover (a couple of which penetrate the last few pages). Inscription in ink to front endpaper (dated 1942). Light foxing to endpapers. Contents clean. Green wrapper (with pictorial onlay to front) is edge creased with tears at corners which are repaired with magic tape on verso, creasing to top edge of rear panel and the same pinholes affecting the rear cover. Very slight loss at corners. A nice copy of this attractive but scarce edition.

Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Ladybird Series 474. A Tasseltip Tale. Pictorial paper boards. 1cm loss to base of spine. Couple of small splits to top of spine, with a little chipping and small piece of loss. Corners are bumped and a little worn. Inscription in ink to edition page. A few grubby margin marks. Binding is starting to weaken at spine. Pictorial wrapper has 3/4 of rear flap torn out and missing; Just under an inch loss to base of spine and other chips with loss to edges. A few edge-tears. Still a nice copy of one of the rarer Ladybird books, in its original wrapper!

Corners have been protected with what looks like browning paper tape. Spine is a little worn and browned to base. Front joint has been repaired eith white cloth tape. Date in ink to front endpaper and a few to title page. One hinge internally reinforced with white cloth tape. A couple of small margin tear repairs. A few margin marks, else contents are still lovely and bright.

Pages 173-178 of volume II have been bound in upside down and back to front (pages run from 172-178, 173-179). Rear joint a little fragile from the outside - leather split, else binding of contents is nice tight. A good candidate for rebinding.
