Compiled from books for children dating from as early as 1770-1820's. Contains over 250 illustrations - woodcuts, drawings and silhouettes. Blue cloth, gilt titles. 439 pages, including index plus publication list to rear. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Light spotting to covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper (dated '99). Endpapers browned. Foxing and fingering and one b/w illustration very neatly coloured in. Some page edges are torn from rough opening after the binding process.
