Top half of covers detached from contents. 'Property Room' stamp to top of first page else contents clean and bright. A nice copy of a very scarce work.

Larger text. 4 full page colour illustrations plus two-tone illustrations. 14 pages including inside covers. Backstrip disintegrated. Rear cover scuffed. Front cover is nice and bright with slight loss to surface paper at edges. Base of spine split. Contents beautifully clean. A lovely copy of a scarce item.

Spine and corners worn. Covers dampstained (affecting pastedowns and title-page). Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Light, small dampstain to lower margins of most pages. Contents generally clean.

Mottled lilac endpapers (changed to pictures of the patty-pan in later editions). 52 pages. 7.25 x 5.5". First printing of the first edition. Spine repaired with very slight loss at top and tail. Corners worn. Slight fading to covers with a few very small marks. Name in ink to front pastedown. Light marks to contents but still a bright copy of the first edition.
