B/w plates. List of subscribers at front. Top 2" of spine have split; some chipping. Wear to cover edges. Some scuffing. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Joints are a little cracked. Damp marking to corners of a few pages. Foxing. Light creasing.

Front free-endpaper professionally replaced with a name and date in ink to this page (1904). Name in ink to top margin of title-page. Foxing to contents and some slight damage to the rear endpapers/front pastedown. Overall this is a very decent copy of this scarce antiquarian children's book.
