Very good condition. Cloth spine. Large format. Pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. The first British edition of 'Cecilia George and the 9 Monkeys' entitled 'Raffy and the 9 Monkeys'. This is the first story in which well loved 'Zozo' later known as 'Curious George' the monkey appears. Raffy is a lonely giraffe who takes in 9 monkeys when the forest is cut down.
Covers edge worn. Spine bumped at head and tail. Small mark and a long scratch mark to rear cover. Small booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Child's pencil writing has been erased to front free-endpaper.
