An Account of the Chase of the Wild Red Deer on Exmoor. Red cloth boards, gilt titles, gilt vignette of stag head to front. Colour and b/w photos. B/w illustrations. Top edge gilt. Spine slightly faded, small split in cloth to head of spine at either side. Name & date in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. A few scattered foxspots to contents.
Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. B/w photos throughout. Spine is browned. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and outer page edges; foxing; also to page margins. Wrapper is very badly damaged; torn with half of spine MISSING: other pieces are taped back together on a white sheet of paper (now browned); tape marks etc.
Red cloth covers, black illustration and gilt titles to front and spine. Floral endpapers. 564 pages. 32 pages of adverts to rear dated August 1880, so this is a reprint edition in same year as first (first had a catalogue dated June 1880). 314 b/w illustrations to text throughout. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Couple of small splits to cloth at top of spine, which is also browned. A few small white 'splash' spots to covers. Foxing and margin marks.
