The British South Georgia Expedition 1954-1955 was the first expedition to enter Antarctic regions with mountaineering as its principal objective. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. Minor foxing to top edge of text block. Boards clean and bright. Light browning to endpapers. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge torn to lower front with tape repairs to verso (no loss), the longest of these tears is jut over 4" at front spine edge, rear panel is a little grubby.
