Almost very good condition. 2nd issue of the first edition. Bue cloth boards, blue titles. Door design to front, key design to rear board. 9 full page b/w plates. B/w illustrations to chapter headers. 43 fairy tales, the first is Tom Tit Tot, the last is The Three Heads of the Well. xiv & 253 pages including notes to rear.
Second impression of the first edition. Spine browned, boards grubby and marked. Spine a little cocked. Board corners bumped. Text block browned. Endpapers browned, small name in ink to front endpaper. Front joint pulled but binding is tight. Foxing throughout. All plates present.
