Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Wayside & Woodland Series. Maroon leatherette covers with gilt titles and vignettes. First series - comprises The Superfamilies Caraboidea, Palpicornia, Staphylinoidea and Diversicornia. Second Series - comprises - The Superfamilies Clavicornia, Heteromera, Lamellicornia, Phytophaga and Rhynchophora, and Including the Strepsiptera. Colour and b/w plates with numerous text figures and diagrams. Speckled text block.
Series two has a minor knock to lower front board. Top edge of text block lightly browned. Front endpaper of both volumes has an 'Acc no' written in ink to top (neat). Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrappers are edge-rubbed with a few small splits, slight fading to spines, slight grubbiness to rear panels. Overall, a lovely set.
