Something small stuck behind front pastedown causing a small indentation to first few pages. Top edge of text block lightly browned with a few foxspots. A few pages have foxing to top margin. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine (as is usual) with a small nick to either side of top of spine, rear panel lightly browned.

Embossed vignette of dragonfly to rear board. 12 colour plates. vii and 184 pages. Covers slightly grubby and a little scuffed. Text block browned. Contemporary gift inscription in ink to free front endpaper has bled through to imprint on half-title page. Foxing to endpapers. Half-title page and last page heavily browned. A few margin marks. All plates present. Plate opposite page 64 (Psyche) has a closed tear to the mount which has been expertly repaired.
