Tiny dent to top edge of front cover. Some grubby marks and score marks to covers. Child's name and date in heavy pencil in belongs to box (and below). Price NOT cut. Painting contest page has been removed. Textblock is slightly grubby else contents clean.

Light surface paper damage to front endpaper. NOT price-cut. Some pencil annotation to contents page. Painting contest is CLEAN. Pencil scribble to Fishes puzzle at rear; some other pencil annotation. Lower margins are creased. A reading copy.

Cover edges are bumped with some wear; marks to covers. Binding is still good. Belongs to box has been completed with ink and then scribbled out in pencil. Price-cut. Painting contest has been partially completed with crayon. 3-4" tear to first story page. A few marks to first few pages, else contents are generally very good; illustrations are nice and bright. A few margin marks. Foxing and browning to outer page edges. A reading copy.
