Large format. Orange cloth spine with black titles. Colour pictorial front board shows boy and girl hanging balloons and decorations. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. First story A Couple of Guineas. Spine and corners bumped, cover edges rubbed. Name plate to front pastedown (name not filled in). Foxing, mainly to textblock. Tobacco smell to contents.

Facsimile of the 4th Rupert annual (1939). Colour pictorial boards, red cloth spine. Black/red/white illustrations throughout. 125 pages. The 'look and feel' of the original perfectly captured by this magnificent reproduction. ISBN: 085079241X. Small nick to lower edge of front cover. Cover edges slightly rubbed. Top corner of front cover slightly worn and colour has been touched up (not particularly well). Light foxing to top edge of textblock.
Pictorial card wraps - Rupert running after a tiny dragon. 1st story Rupert and the Top Hat. Covers are very worn and creased. Old tape repairs to spine and cover edges. Rear cover is detached but held on to binding with old browned tape. Name and address in biro to belongs to box. Price NOT cut. Island puzzle done. Contents are a bit grubby throughout.
Colour pictorial laminated boards - Rupert and friends building a snowman. 1st story Rupert and the Friendly Sea-Lion. 123 pages. 10x7 inches. Not published in facsimile form as some of the content was considered politically incorrect. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Some loss to top of spine and a further split. Child's name and age in pencil in belongs to box. Painting contest done. Puzzles to pages 42 and 98 done. NOT price-cut. Some fingermarks to page margins throughout.

A few damp/brown marks to margins on last few pages.

Backstrip is missing. Corners worn, covers edge rubbed and foxed. Small ink mark to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink (blue biro) to belongs to page and child's biro writing in belongs to box. Price-cut. Slight margin loss to pages 9-12 (text not affected). Grubby marks to page margins throughout.
