Almost very good condition. Vibrant blue cloth with gilt title and decoration to spine. Gilt illustration to front cover. Eight coloured plates. Numerous b/w illustrations. 388 pages. 7.5 x 5". All edges gilt.
Spine bumped and worn with tiny splits to cloth at either end. 0.5" hole to cloth on front edge of spine towards bottom. Spine is also slightly darkened and gilt slightly dulled. A little bumping and wear to corners. Slight wear to gilt on front cover. Rear cover slightly grubby with a couple of dark marks. Front joint cracked for 1.5" near top, rear joint cracked. A few hinges starting to crack. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. A few small marks and a little foxing to contents but most pages clean. All plates present.
