52 stories chosen by a little girl of 10. Yellow cloth with blue titles and vignettes. 7 colour plates, 100 b/w illustrations. 491 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Covers grubby and marked with a slightly browned spine. Some light foxspots to endpapers and textblock else contents clean.
New Impression. Lovely blue cloth covers with blind stamped design to front and gilt title to spine. Numerous illustrations in b/w throughout. 348 pages. 7.5 x 5". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Pencil writing to front endpapers has been erased. Tissue-guard to frontis is browned and there is some light foxing to the contents. The binding is slightly pulled causing contents to be a little loose.
Red cloth spine. Pictorial front cover. Large, oblong format. Wonderful colour illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly grubby and scuffed, stain to spine edge of front cover where colour has seeped from cloth. Inscription in pencil to front free-endpaper (dated 1907). Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint is cracked (between endpaper and title-page). Contents are foxed and slightly grubby. A nice copy overall.

Green cloth spine. Oblong format. Bold colour illustrations throughout. Some bumping and wear to spine and corners. Dark damp marks along cover edges. A few foxspots. Some margin marks; one margin tear to page 5/6 (around 1"). Light page corner creasing.

Corners are heavily worn; some bumped. Front endpaper is MISSING. Prelims are loose, with creasing, foxing and edge-chipping and small tears. Front joint is broken: some weak stitching can be seen. Some foxing and grubby margin marks. Illustrations are still nice and bright. A reading copy.

A Tale of Fairy Land. Superb colour illustrations of fairies by Richard Doyle as well as sepia drawings. These pictures were originally published in 1869 and Lang admired them so much that he wrote this story to fit around the illustrations. Burgundy cloth spine, brown pictorial boards. B/w illustrated endpapers. Printed in colour by Edmund Evans. 56 pages. Binding is weak, hinges are cracked; front hinge is partially broken. Scuffing and other marks to covers; some chipping and loss at edges of covers. Staples rusted. front endpaper is partially stuck next to spine to front pastedown. Some foxing and page markings. Illustrations are still lovely and bright.
