THE WAVERLEY ROUTE ITS HERITAGE AND REVIVAL
by Ann Glen
Published by Lily Publications. 1st. 2015
Nearly fine condition in a fine dustwrapper. In the 1840s, the North British Railway promoted a branch to Hawick. An ambition was to take this line to Carlisle and in 1862 the difficult Waverley Route opened. It survived until 1969 when the last passenger train ran. Now the new Borders Railway revives the northern portion of this famous route. Large format. White title to spine. B/w and colour photos.
A few minor marks to boards. Contents fine. Dustwrapper slightly scuffed.
