Minimal bumping to spine and corners. A couple of small creases in cloth to edge of front cover and some slight fading to top edge of rear cover. Heavy foxing to page edges and margins, slight foxing to prelims. Very light patch of surface paper damage to front pastedown. A couple of pages have small margin tears at lower edge. White dustwrapper is nice and clean with some slight foxing.

Biography. Sir William Jardine (1800-1874) of Jardine Hall near Lockerbie, was a Scottish baronet and landowner. He was also a magistrate, Convenor of the Church of Scotland, and Deputy Lieutenant of Dumfriesshire in 1841, but, above all, he was an eminent naturalist in several fields, knowledgeable about birds, fishes, insects, plants and geology. Matt boards. B/w illustrations. ISBN: 0718501640. Boards just a little grubby. Light fading to front gutter edge and top of front board. Tiny nick to top of spine. Contents clean.
