First published under the title 'Edinburgh Revisited' in 1911, this is an enlarged and completely revised edition with new illustrations. 16 tissue- guarded b/w sketches. Blue cloth, white title labels. 179 pages. Cloth boards browned and frayed at edges. Browning to endpapers. Text block is deckle-edged and browned. A few scattered foxspots. All plates are present but only two tissue-guards remain. The two plates with tissue guards are browned as is the tissue-guard. Otherwise, contents clean. Dustwrapper is discoloured, edge-worn and chipped, some surface paper loss from the removal of a lable to rear panel.

Boards nice and bright, light rubbing to lower edges. Name in ink to verso of free front endpaper. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears which have been repaired to verso with clear tape (no loss), top & tail of spine rubbbed with loss of surface paper and minor chipping. Slight musty odour present.
