Almost very good condition. The title poem, The Ballad of Beau Brocade, tells the story of a dashing highwayman who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Other poems in the collection explore themes such as love, nature, and social commentary. Cream cloth with gilt title to spine. Large paper limited edition of 250 copies (For England). 50 Tissue-guarded illustrations by Hugh Thomson.
Numbered copy 75 of 250 copies. Spine is very browned. Some bumping and wear to corners, with a little chipping. Some grubby marks and brown stain to bottom edge of front cover. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Name and date inscription in ink of previous owner to front pastedown. A few light margin marks, but contents are still very good and nice and tight.
